The programme seeks to achieve the empowerment of the masses by Skilling - Illiterate, Semi Literate and illiterate women with a focus on hands on training to the under served and unreached. Aarohan wants to build a strong foundation to reap benefits of different pieces of training later in their life. This shall help young women seek employment and provide financial support to their families.

In the nearby towns and industrial areas of Uttarakhand and Bihar, many poor and migrant families are living in slums where people are deprived of basic necessities. The youth and men work as labourers in industry or construction areas. The women /young girls are mostly not educated and stay at homes. These women are in need of some basic skill training to become productive and add to the family income.

Balajee Sewa Sansthan provides free of cost skill development training to women that includes fashion designing, tailoring, beautician courses and computer literacy. After completing the course, they are linked with banks for financial assistance to undertake new activities. More than 600 poor women students are getting trained to become self-employed. Students from BPL, minority and low-income group get free training under this programme.
